A18 Special thanks to Laurence Libin

Curators of musical instrument collections have a special access to documents of the historic piano-heritage and usually far-reaching knowledge of the stocks in private hands. Only originals still witness an upstanding music culture and therefore must be secured for the future. With a poly-disciplinary analysis, we are only at the beginning. I am indebted to Laurence Libin, the former curator of the musical instrument collection of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, for important information and the permission for filming.
