A17 Dutch, especially Flemish masters

are the specialty of Dr. Ursula Härting, who completed her dissertation in 1983 on Frans Francken d. J. (1581-1642) and the Flemish cabinet painting.

On the occasion of a supervised exhibition by her "gardens and courtyards of Rubens time", in the Gustav Lübcke Museum in Hamm in 2000, it came to a cooperation because garden representations were widespread in a short period in 1600 on keyboard instruments and give further information about Fashion, the art of making music, to dine in the open as well as other practices.

As part of her work she dealt with paintings on instruments, including a painting in private ownership in Düsseldorf, showing Minerva defending the seven liberal arts against Mars, the god of war. She attributed this painting to Hieronymus Francken III and dated it to the period around 1630.
